I am an independent training facilitator for safeguarding and child protection whom can be booked to deliver training at your setting where;

The Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults training has been designed to value different learning styles through using a range of teaching methods and engages learners in the content using relevant examples of practice.
Group discussions are used to reflect on learning and raise the understanding of the settings current practices. Content has been designed in line with the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015 and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2015 guidance’s.

The training is for one full day (8hrs) or can be spread across evenings and weekends depending on your needs.
​
Training is certified and all attendees will receive an Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults upon successful completion of the course.
​
Weekend and evening workshops are available and recommended for Early Years settings where full day care is provided.

Training is suitable for the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Designated Safeguarding leads should access training every two years to effectively fulfill the role. Refresher training for staff should be accessed as and when needed.

Contents can be tailored to add in where there are any area specific or emerging needs, for example, a particular concern around bullying or gang involvement. Please contact me to discuss your needs prior to booking.

Training materials are constantly reviewed to keep up to date with any changes and ensure deliverance is focused around the ever developing needs of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

“My passion is working for and with children and young people. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Early Years Professional Studies with Early Years Teacher status, an NVQ 3&4 in Leadership and Management, PTTLS and a Safeguarding Instructor Award. I have trained in various subjects including PREVENT, Restorative Justice, Domestic Abuse, Family Partnership Model and Motivational Interviewing. I have worked in both private and local authority settings in management and leadership posts. I have created and facilitated training for varying topics around Safeguarding and Early Help and have hands on experience in Safeguarding and child protection practices. I am an advocate for continual professional development and believe it is vital for keeping up with both personal and business growth. Reflection is a key part of my practice and I welcome any feedback and suggestions to improve the service offered your team.
